Sometimes we don't have enough money to completely redecorate our entire home. However, what we can do is easily refresh rooms by using wall tiles or floor tiles to give tired kitchen or bathrooms an instant makeover.
Choose a plain neutral tile such as our Konigstein or Caroline wall tile and combine with a pop of bright colour, a feature wall or use single decorative tiles to break up the plain background. White wall tiles will brighten up the room making it light, airy and spacious. Accents can provide depth and individuality to plain canvases.
You don't have to stick to wall tiles- floor tiles can give the room a swift makeover. This is especially effective in hallways and kitchens with a lot of heavy traffic as it brightens up weary floors and enhances the walls. Choosing a hardwearing floor tile such as a porcelain floor tile keeps the appearance fresh and current.
If you are happy with your existing wall tiles but feel like a change-replacing your splashback can add a new look and feel to a kitchen or bathroom without replacing the entire room. Great wall tiles to use as splashbacks are mosaic tiles- with mosaics you can be as bold or as subtle as you wish and glass mosaics reflect light in smaller spaces. Mosiacs also make a great non slip service for wet areas thanks to their grout lines. When using larger format tiles for a splashback, scored tiles can add texture or a pop of colour such as Tileflair's Decko range. Re-grouting will also freshen up the tiles if they are looking a little worn and spraying with a good protector can keep them looking fresh.
