Beach Style Bathroom Tiles
Summer’s end will soon be drawing near and those long lazy days lounging on the beach will soon be a distant memory. So, what better time to revamp your bathroom with a beach style theme, because with a little imagination and a few simple design ideas you can keep that summer feeling fresh all year long.
Beach themed bathrooms don’t have to be too ‘beachy’. Simply by using maritime colours in an accent mosaic, for instance, you can dress it up with accessories as the mood takes you. You can do varying grades of beach style from a simple white metro tile with fresh, cooling hues of aquamarine as a border or you can transform your bathroom into a full-on coastal retreat by using wall tiles to maximum effect in a confident shade of maritime blue. Then finish off with sleek pale floor tiles to bring the look of sand between your toes. Our Toscano range in Beje is perfect for this. Accessorise with natural-coloured decorations such as sea sponges or baskets and the odd life-ring for good measure.
If you want to add some sparkle to your bathroom, there are some lovely mosaic tiles available. For modern beach eclectic, use random blue-shade mosaic tiles on the walls. Or jazz it up with something a bit different like our Classy Glass range, with its iridescent sparkle that evokes beautiful stones or shells washed up on a beach. And our Antique Pearl mosaic tiles look like the rippling surface of water. Both, when teamed with a simpler tile can transform your bathroom into something spectacular.
For a modern take on the beach theme our Decko series in Blue Scored will do the job perfectly. It has a clean fresh look that will be complemented perfectly with White Scored and our Trend floor tiles in Moon. Our Picasso range in turquoise offers a more Mediterranean look wall tile. Team this with some sand coloured floor tiles.
For a true beach theme you are looking for unpolished finishes, frosted glass and lots of shades of blue, aquamarine, green and eggshell. Add pale wood furniture such as a basin cabinet or bath panel for that washed-up driftwood look. Add some wainscoting, shells and a few sea sponges and you will be a landlubber no more.
