Give Your Walls The Wow Factor

It’s all too easy to pop down to the local mega-DIY store for your wall tiles but if you want a bathroom to be proud of, that’s really going to stand out from the crowd then you might consider these options.

1. Go Bold
If you want to make a real statement in the bathroom go for something striking – a monochrome palette looks stunning in any size bathroom. Or add a mass of vibrant colour with wall tiles, teamed with matching or contrasting floor tiles for a fresh and modern look that transforms your bathroom space.

2. Go patterned
Pattern can look incredible if it works but choosing it is not for the faint-hearted. There’s a fine line between gaudy and gorgeous, especially when using bold pattern, so make sure you love it. That said, our Quilt range with its contrasting and coordinating colours and patterns is timeless and will certainly not get tiresome. Alternatively, if you want pattern but you’re not a big fan of colour then go for textured wall tiles. Good lighting will help to really enhance the relief pattern of the wall tile.

3. Go reflective
If you have a small bathroom and you want to enhance the sense of space then use smooth finish wall tiles which are reflective, and in paler, neutral colours they are a good way of bouncing the light around a room and reflecting the available light. Use lots of mirrors to reflect light.

4. Go small
Mosaics are a really versatile option as bathroom wall tiles. Even if you stick to one colour, these small tiles give texture and depth to your wall, especially over a large surface area. You can also use mosaic tiles to create a unique pattern.

5. Go exotic
Eastern inspired pattern adds bohemian spirit to any bathroom. For the walls choose natural stone or stone effect for a really exotic feel, or better still go for bronze-coloured mosaic tiles for a chic glow, with other bronze or brass features and accessories to add depth. Mix in a few oversized houseplants for added effect.

6. Go classic
Go over-the-top ‘Classic’ for a real elegant statement in your bathroom. Marble effect, border tiles and inset patterns add an indulgent feel. Accessorise with ornate furniture and gold trimmed fluffy towels for a real luxurious look.

7. Go dramatic
Nothing says drama better than dark wall tiles and an abundance of spotlights to highlight specific features. In fact, the less natural daylight in a room the more dramatic it looks. For an intense and moody statement use dark grey wall tiles with ornate black lacquered mirror surround. Teamed with an oversized chandelier this looks stunning.
