Warm up your winter with wood-effect floor tiles

As winter settles in for a long stay you’ll want to hunker down and get cosy. And when the wind is blustering outside what better way to warm us your interior than with a beautiful wood-effect floor? These clever tiles use the latest technology to recreate the beauty of real wood but without the maintenance needed, and will warm up even the whitest wintery space.

Take for instance the Vancouver Country Dark, a deep and warming wood effect that creates a cocoon effect in your home, much like a big snuggly blanket over your living area to encloses all of its inhabitants in its warm embrace. This tile is so beautifully created that it even contains the grains and knots of real wood, but because it is made from porcelain it will not wear and is incredibly hard wearing.

If you like the idea of using real wood floor because of its time-worn lived-in look, then our Timber range is one for you to consider. These tiles come with the worn look already incorporated into the design, so there’ll be no waiting for years for your floor to look lived in. These tiles are available in four different colours too, so if the brown shades don’t appeal then take a look at the other colours in the Timber range; they come in grey, white and almond as well as Redwood and all are alive with the grains and knots of real wood.

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t put wood effect on the walls too and our beautiful Vancouver Nature Light Mosaic, with its spectrum of browns and creams will give the same warming effect to your room as a wood floor even if they are used in a smaller area such as a splash back.

For the ultimate in warm interiors take a look at our French Parquet Oak. The variety of shades in this tile perfectly imitates the tones of real wood in a parquet floor and creates a classy sauna-look effect when used on the walls and the floor.

Simply the look of wood will trick the senses into making even a purest white space feel warm and cosy. But you can turn up the warmth factor by adding a dark and sumptuous palette such as mahogany reds, jewel blue teal and fire orange to your decor. Deep colours and varied textures are definitely the trend this winter so get out your plush fabrics and cosy up.
