Textured tiles are in!
If you appreciate the tactile beauty of textured surfaces and you know that texture is what you want in your home, then I’d like to introduce you to a couple of additions to our muretto range of wall and floor tiles.
Most textured materials add lots of depth and texture to a scheme. Our Gorge wall tiles have the appearance of rough cut slate, with its naturally random patterns, that you might find in an abandoned slate quarry in Wales.
These lovely porcelain tiles, which have the roughness of, well, rough-hewn stone can be brought to life in your home if you pair them with materials such as polished chrome, a glossy white Corian worktop or sleek and shiny cabinet doors to create a juxtaposition of textures that sit beautifully together. The delectable combination of the rough Gorge wall tiles and stainless steel makes for a texturally rich room with loads of character and a subtle industrial vibe.
These tiles needn’t be too prominent. Just a little rough and rawness can really lift your space from bland to beautiful. A small wall or a splash back can give just a hint of rawness, texture and warmth to an otherwise simple, contemporary space. The dark shade of Gorge in black, in particular brings an instant dose of contemporary style and a warming cocoon effect to any room.
The Cut is just as beautiful as the Gorge but has a more definition in its texture, and a uniformity that oozes show-stopping style. The Cut in white bring texture and graphic lines to a neutral scheme and prevents it from feeling sterile. In the bathroom especially, when used with steel fittings, it looks spectacular.

Muretto tiles are a great way to transform a simple space, to add interest and detail to those areas where you want to add some character. Turn that plain wall into a textured and striking showpiece, liven up a lowly chimney breast or brighten a dull kitchen splash back with muretto wall and floor tiles. They will not fail to delight every proud homeowner.
