"Journey II is an experiment in gestural mark marking. Dynamic and impactful, the original artwork was painted from behind onto transparent perspex, with the layers of paint building from front to back. Working from behind, the artist creates a rich, multi-layered piece with distinct colour combinations. Interestingly, the finished piece of work is never fully seen, instead it is the journey from the start point that is observed."
